K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikaspuri, celebrated its Annual Day on 30th November 2024, with the theme “Namami Gange” – a tribute to the timeless essence of River Ganga. The event captured the multifaceted significance of the river, aptly described as the “Cradle of Ancient Civilization, Symbol of Spiritual Renewal, Lifeblood for Millions, and Embodiment of India’s CulturalHeritage.”

The evening was graced by the Chief Guest, Mr. Jatin Narwal, the Joint Commissioner of Police, Delhi West, along with esteemed guests of honour, Dr. Piyush Kapoor, a renowned ophthalmologist, and Dr. Mani Kapoor, a reputed gynaecologist. revered chairpersons of the K.R. Mangalam Group of World Schools, Shri Kapildev Gupta, Shri Abhishek Gupta, and Mrs. Pooja Gupta also graced the occasion, besides all the proud parents and other dignitaries. The event began with a heartfelt lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the pursuit of knowledge and enlightenment, accompanied by a soulful invocation to the Goddess Ganga. The Principal’s Address underscored the importance of nurturing young minds with an appreciation for India’s cultural and spiritual heritage while fostering a commitment to environmental preservation.

The cultural extravaganza unfolded with a series of mesmerizing performances that explored the theme in depth. Students enacted the story of the Ganga’s descent to Earth, showcasing its historical and mythological significance through a vibrant theatrical production. This was followed by a classical dance recital that celebrated the river’s role as a symbol of purity and renewal and a musical medley highlighting its importance as the lifeblood of millions.
A thought-provoking skit on water conservation and sustainable development encouraged the audience to reflect on the collective responsibility of preserving this precious resource for future generations. Each act was a testament to the students’ creativity, dedication, and understanding of the theme.

The evening concluded with a Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the Chief Guest ,guests of honour, honourable chairpersons of the K.R. Mangalam Group of World Schools, parents, teachers, and students for making the event a grand success. The event served not only as a celebration of talent but also as a poignant reminder of the enduring legacy of River Ganga and the responsibility to honour and protect it.
