World Nature Conservation Day
“Those who conserve and preserve nature deserve to be a part of nature.” – Amol Gade
The World Nature Conservation day is observed on 28 July every year. This aims to create awareness about the need to preserve the environment and natural resources in order to keep the world healthy.
Educating children about the importance of environmental conservation will help ensure the long-term health of our planet for generations to come. With this thought ,the pre-primary wing of K R Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar celebrated World Nature Conservation Day on 28 July, 23. The aim was to propagate awareness amongst our children the importance of nurturing our Nature for a promising and better future. After all, a small group of thoughtful, committed responsible little citizens can change the world.
Nursery wing conducted seed germination activity in which little mangalites filled tiny pots with soil, sowed the seeds & watered it with the instructions of their teachers . KG classes made bookmarks depicting the importance of water saving and took a pledge to conserve the environment and keep their surroundings clean and green. This reflects the touch of love, care, compassion and responsibility which we must nurture for our Mother Nature.
The day ended with a message that protecting and conserving our natural resources is integral to our very existences and let’s honour that sentiment on World Nature Conservation Day by acknowledging its importance and how we can contribute towards nature’s preservation!
