Janamashtami celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna
Sweeter than honey, tastier than curd, pleasanter indeed than any happiness, and joy is the company, is the power of the name of Krishna. Janmashtami is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Krishna. The day indicated the beginning of hope in the older times, hope that the malicious rule of Kansa would end soon.
To seek the blessings of Lord Krishna, the festival of Janmashtami was celebrated with great zeal and pomp at K. R. Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar which also made awareness about Indian tradition, custom,s and culture by conducting Mukut making and Matki decoration activities. Children wore a festive look on Janmashtami with the colourful attires of Radha and Krishna. The bright and joyful faces of children lit the festive aura with spirit of love, devotion, and faith.
Children were explained why Janmashtami is celebrated and the story behind it by their Teachers. The festival conveyed the strong message “Victory of good over evil”. This day indicates the beginning of hope. Hope that the malicious rule of Kansa would soon end. The students enjoyed the day as funfilled activities were planned for them.
