To keep the fervour of Independence Day alive in students K. R. Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar celebrated the occasion with great enthusiasm and patriotism on 11 August 2023. To channelize the creativity of the children various art and craft activities were held in the classes. The tiny tots felt great pride in doing activities with the tri colours. The children were told about the history of freedom struggle and the importance of being independent. They were also told about the role and sacrifices of the freedom fighters. The teachers explained the significance of each colour of the tricolour flag. An enjoyable ‘Role Play’ activity was planned wherein the students dressed up as their favourite freedom fighters and spoke about them with gratitude. The pride and the confidence of the children while participating in this activity was a sight to be remembered.

The icing on the cake was the special assembly on this topic. The students presented a skit on the theme arising a patriotic feeling amongst all present. The vibrant dance performance won all the hearts. The little stars amazed everyone with their confidence and charm. It was all in all a memorable occasion for all.
