K.R. Mangalam World School Vikaspuri, hosted a delegation of fourteen students and two teachers of USHindi Sanstha by organizing Bharat –America Maitri Sadbhavana Diwas as a part of Indo-US Exchange Programme on 22 Dec 2017 in the school amphitheatre .The delegates were accorded a traditional welcome in the school with school band, garlands and tilak.

 The highlight of the programme was the orchestra and the Indian cultural dance performance by the students of KRM Vikaspuri. The students proved their mettle in their mother tongue by showcasing hasya kavitha on facebook,and enacting the incarnations of goddess Durga and historic characters like Lakshmi Bai, Meera Bai etc. The guest students also put up stunning performance of poems, song, dance and instrumental music.

As a part of this programme both the team members competed against each other for a Hindi Olympiad .The delegates and the winners were honoured by the Principal Ms Meenu Kanwar with awards. As the school had organized a surprise Christmas celebration with this programme, the delegates got a chance to celebrate Christmas along with sumptuous meal.

By participating in the student exchange programme, the delegation got an opportunity to immerse themselves in a new environment, experience a new culture, compare educational systems, network, and make new friends. Overall it was an enriching experience for the visitors as they took back happy memories of the warm hospitality of the Mangalites and promised to return again.
