An Orientation Programme was conducted at K. R. Mangalam World School for parents of the students of Class Nursery on 20 March, 2024, under the able guidance of our dynamic Principal, Ms. Priya Arora.

The programme commenced with a warm welcome to the parents, followed by the Lord ’s Prayer. A mesmerizing instrumental musical extravaganza was presented by the little Mangalites, winning everyone’s hearts. A foot tapping dance performance was also presented by the students of KRM. A parenting session was organised with Ms. Archana Sharma, a child and clinical psychologist.

The interaction made the parents aware about day to day parenting challenges and the ways to deal with them. She also emphasized on making the children more independent and allowing them to learn by doing. Ms Archana also briefed the parents about the harms of over indulgence by parents.

The session ended with a question- answer round. Honourable Principal ma’am also addressed the gathering. She laid stress on making the children global citizens and to prepare them to take up the challenges of life. She emphasised that both parents must be supportive, be involved and be role models to their children . She also advised parents to have a two-way communication with their children and respect their decisions. The class teachers were also introduced to the parents by Principal ma’am.

Overall it was a learning and thought provoking session for all present. The day concluded with a vote of thanks given by the Pre Primary coordinator Ms Ramnik Kaur, followed by the parents’ interaction with their wards class teachers.
